It is a community celebration that honors legacy, celebrates culture, and creates space for the next generation through the spirit of Juneteenth and the game of basketball. This exciting event will bring together 72 youth athletes from across Oklahoma City to compete in three divisions: Elementary School Middle School High School Each division will feature competitive bracket play and will recognize both a Championship Team and a Most Valuable Player (MVP). To deepen the event’s cultural impact, teams will be named after notable Black leaders, and players will receive educational All-Star cards highlighting each leader’s journey and embodiment of Black excellence. In addition, before the Middle School and High School divisions begin, we will host an open 3-Point Contest for anyone in attendance, with the winner receiving a custom Juneteenth on the East basketball. This event is bigger than basketball.
